Empty Bowls is an annual fundraiser for TACO held at La Jolla United Methodist Church. Local potters donate hundreds of handcrafted pottery bowls to the event, which are filled with delicious soup donated by local restaurants. At the end of the event, each guest chooses one or more bowls to take home, to remind them of those whose bowls are empty every night.
